The first post of this thread, at the bottom of that post is a link to a repo zip.
Nevermind... I did it from the wrong repository. *face palms*

Any thoughts? :-)
FFH4500,
go to NetfliXBMC settings - advanced tab and turn off "use advance ssl" and try again.
Yup that did. Thanks mate. Now to work out how to program the remote to work properly with it. Suggestions? :-)
Give it a shot and if you have problems someone here may be able to help.
Hey Team! I get an error when trying to configure the chrome control plugin. Common, I've seen it mentioned here before. Do you need to install a plugin in chrome to get this to work? I can't seem to find the answer to using the plugin.

Thanks!
Yes, I did use overkill, just to get response from the developers, that seams to have worked.
Since 1 week I did test this addon almost every day, most days I haven't seen any problem.
But every now and then, the addon just won't start up, is ssl the problem? After toggling it, the addon is working just fine.
It's working with and without ssl, after toggle the ssl property, that seams just strange.

I am making use of a lenovo q190 htpc, but I am also making use of an aurora openelec (arm device).
This device can't make use of a chrome browser on any way.
But I do also have a chromecast device, wouldn't it be possible to cast videos to my chromecast device?
Within playon it's possible to play videos from my aurora tv box making use of my htpc.
Wouldn't it be possible to detect a chromecast device to play the netflix videos?

Edit:
The casting function from my htpc to my chromecast device is working just fine.
Why wouldn't it be possible to cast from my aurora tv box to my chromecast device?

I don't have any special plugins in chrome to use Netflixbmc.
What are your settings and what is the error you are seeing?
Hello,
I'm brand new to XBMC/KODI and cannot get netflix to work.
I installed using the instructions here;
http://lifehacker.com/netflixbmc-brings-...1484237283
I have installed the chrome launcher add-on. I've set up my login information and every time I try to bring up a list of movies I get "Error script failed!: NetfliXBMC"

I've looked through the most recent entries here and tried to find the "use advance ssl" but no such setting exists under my (System -> Add-ons -> Enabled Add-ons -> Video Add-ons -> NetfliXBMC) Advanced tab for the add-on configuration.
How do I go about troubleshooting this? I don't even know where to start looking for log files.

Some system details;
Win 8.1 x64
Chrome v42 (was x64 beta version but uninstalled and went back to x86 v42)
Chrome launcher v1.1.1 (no update available in add-on settings)
Kodi 14.2
NetfliXBMC v 1.3.4 (no update available in add-on settings)

This isn't life or death, I still have Windows media center, but decided to try out XBMC on a friends suggestion.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Rico

Thank you. I had downloaded the next repo and thought I enabled it, but apparently had not.
I uninstalled NetfliXBMC v1.3.4 and installed v1.3.20.
It is working now.
Hey,

Here is few features that would be nice to have:
- Episode numbers in episode list (this is in json output)
- Season year in season and episode list (this is in json output)
- Get tv series covers from tvdb
- Change season text in season list be translated

I've changed the episode listing to include the episode number and the correct time duration and it should be in the next release.
I'll look at the other items if time permits.

An alternative that will give you all or most of what you want is to use netflixbmc "add to library".
(2015-04-30, 04:48)nickr Wrote: [ -> ]I know that this addon uses chrome launcher to actually play netflix content. However:

1. chrome is not available for openelec, but

2. a clever person has developed a chromium addon for OE 64 bit that does play netflix content - see http://openelec.tv/forum/128-addons/7664...est-stable

My next task is to see if netflixbmc can be changed to use chromium browser instead of chrome broswer, which would complete the trick of usefully getting netflix on OE.

Can the devs here point me in the right direction? If there is any experimenting I can do at home to get this done, please let me know.

Just tried out OE on a USB stick, and I can verify that the custom Chromium Works fine With netflixbmc. I've still got tearing and the sound doesn't work yet, but I'll figure that out in a sec. And Vaapi Works too. The only nagging thing is that Chromium pops up With the Google api keys missing, which I have to manually Close. Gotta find a solution to that too.

This is written on Windows 8.1 and Win 8.1 keeps on modifying what i Write With big letters on random words. Goddamnit! /rant

edit: seems the missing api Notification gets overlaid after the first few Seconds on second try. great!
