The video continues to play in the background while the Kodi menu's is all I can see, and I have no easy way to switch to the background process using a remote. The only way I can really do it is by closing Kodi entirely and then the chrome video becomes the main window. Windows 8.1 and Kodi, can't remember the exact version right now.

Do you use Launcher4Kodi?
It forces the focus on Kodi but you can disable Kodi focus in Launcher4Kodi for certain Software (ex. Chrome).

Yes, I'm pretty sure I do use this. I'll check it out, thanks for the tip.

EDIT: Yep, that seemed to be the problem. I set it up to force focus only once with a delay and that seemed to do the trick. I set it up to disable focus if Chrome was running but that gave me some startup focus issues because of another instance of chrome running in the background. Thanks Snicket.

I'm glad I could help you Smile
So is there any way to do the following:

1. Return to KODI via phone app?
2. Control playback? Pick a new show in browser, etc. ?
It would be hugely beneficial to me to be able to specify the path to the custom browser.sh file.

The chrome plugin has this option.

The way things are now every time time plugin gets updated it overwrites the custom changes I have made and removes the execute flag.

I'd like to put the script in the user directory.

Thanks!
Anyone know what might cause this?

Box is Win7 HP SP1 (fully updated) with Kodi 14.2. Can post the full debug log but the proceeding errors are basically the same thing as above.

I've tried turning off Advanced SSL, changing the SSL protocol, removing the "/Login" from default.py, removing myself from the Test Participation on Netflix - all to no avail.

Thanks for any help/
Hello, I'm running Kodi 14.2 Helix on Windows 8.1 and the NetfliXBMC add-on just gets stuck at Talking to Netflix - Starting login 25%

Can someone please help me getting this running. I've put in my username and password but just gets stuck.

Where is the log file to look at? Here is my log. Thx

Sorry, not sure what you mean.
My pastebin for the SSL 'violation of protocol':

Oh and BTW, I don't go through any proxy.

From your log:
plugin.video.netflixbmc-1.3.4

also the log is from a very old version of netflixbmc

Check your version it should be 1.3.21

I have no explanation for why that error is occurring. Can you logon the netflix with a browser on that computer?

Good question! And it revealed my problem with an UnblockUs email confirmation page when trying to get to netflix.com. Oops! It's working now that I've fixed that, thanks!

So I recently moved the HTPC off of wifi onto ethernet, and totally forgot to check for adapter's DNS settings, which were the unblockus DNS servers from when I tested something a while ago. I always knew those nasty DNS hacks would come back to bite Tongue
I've got everything set up properly (I think...) and I'm getting this error after launching a Netflix video. This appears in Netflix's window in Chrome, not in Kodi.

"We cannot find all the required components to play Netflix on this device. Please visit chrome://components, locate the WidevineCdm component, and click the "Check for update" button."

I've done as it's asked and the component is already installed and up to date. Also if I just launch Chrome directly I can view Netflix just fine in it. It only throws this error if Chrome is launched from Kodi. Any ideas?
I'm also getting this "stuck at 25%" inside KODI "TALKING TO NETFLIX" "STARTING KODI".

I completely removed NETFLIXBMC and all user data from it, reinstalled, same problem.

EDIT: It's doing it on multiple machines - problem started a couple of days ago.
