I see the SBS add-on under video, I can also find the chrome launcher add-on but I don't the the Netflix add-on
It is a video addon, you will find it there.

Should the netflix message bar across the top of Kodi that says loading profile, updating....and whatever it says appear even when i am using other apps not related to netflix? I go to open icefilms and it shows up. I open my favorites folder in Genesis and it opens. It usually does it once for each app, but it does get annoying.
No it shouldnt. I've never experienced that. Kodibuntu/OE.
Hey RockerC, thank you for your information. But the thread contains UNOFFICIAL in its name. Is that enough to tell everybody that there is no official connection between the developer and xbmc or netflix ?

By the way I don´t think the addon will get developed much longer after the next Netflix update. I´m very sad about that and I will thank addonscriptor and corona for the tons of (unbilled) work they had done which should had been done by netflix.

The website of netflix did just change, netflixbmc is still working with iexplorer, I don't make use of chrome/xbmc since the last last problems.
In my opinion the change of the website doesn't change the xbmc interface that much.
It would be better that netflix would make it's own xbmc addon', which could be used by netflix users only, I am sure that addon would become very popular, it's just sad that netflix doesn't want it's own xbmc/kodi addon, it would solve so many problems....

Edit:
I was thinking a bit too possitive, almost the whole netflixbmc addon doesn't work anymore.
If there are no ideas of changing the addon to the new netflix interface, this thread should be closed.
I hope that the addon will get an update, but without an update this addon is just dead.

I am a happy netflix user, I am glad that I am not depended of this xbmc addon to make use of netflix.
Available alternatives:
- chromecast
- smart tv containing the netflix program/addon, I still don't see the new interface.
- smart tv containing a webbrowser, so I can make use of netflix.
- making use of my htpc windows 8.1 app, or making use of chrome as my webbrowser and cast it to my tv.

It's just a shame that xbmc doesn't have an official netflix addon,
It seams that the most important companies available for streaming still have their doubts about xbmc/kodi movie/tv streaming, piracy is still a huge problem.
I am also making use of piracy addons, but I only make use of them because there are no real alternatives.

An alternative would be to buy dvd's and blu-rays, in my opinion that is just a solution from the past.
I think that within 5 years almost nobody will buy any dvd's or blu-rays, streaming services like Netflix are just the future, xbmc/kodi just need those services to servive.
If kodi will still be related to piracy in the next few years, kodi won't exist within 5 years, or very marginal.

In the past I did also download movies and tv shows, making use of all kind of download sites, jdownloader was my friend, well I didn't make use of jdownloader the last year.
O my God that was a lot of work for nothing, downloading terabytes of movies and tv shows that I never did see, that I never will see.
I think many people are still downloading files (movies and tv shows), piracy or not.

Just an idea, not many people would have a problem paying for streaming new movies and tv shows, like I did 30 years ago,
30 years ago it was common to make use of videotheeks to see movies (vhs) on a relative cheap way, I didn't make use of any videotheek in the last 20 years,
vhs and videotheeks are from the past, they will never come back.
By the way, vhs did just have a terrible quality, philips video v2000 was so much better but didn't make it because porn was not available...

Both of the addons you mention are banned here, and you may find yourself suffering the same fate. Please stop.

Was just a heads up, recommend you read http://kodi.tv/introducing-kodi-14/ and http://kodi.tv/introducing-the-kodi-logo/ which explain their interest in trademark protection.

My most humble apologies. I was not thinking. I was really wanting to just say how great it has been working since it seems many people are having problems. Once i did what needed to be done to chrome, it has been working flawlessly.

Please forgive me.

I'm not saying you are wrong, but you're kinda grasping for straws. Let's be pragmatic for a moment:
I don't think anyone going through the steps to get this to work are going to think this is an official addon. Not in a million years. Besides, it opens a Chrome browser pointing to the Netflix site. It took only Kodi 12 years to change their name to *fully* get rid of the Xbox MC abbreviation.

Maybe this plugin needs a certain rewrite for the new Netflix interface, it could be a good time to rename it "Unofficial Netflix for Kodi", make a new support thread, and confuse the whack out of people..

The Youtube plugin should be named: "Unofficial Youtube" (it might be official for Kodi, but it's still unofficial for Youtube) Chrome Launcher could be named "Unofficial Chrome Launcher for Kodi". "Unofficial scraper for TMDB/IMDB" and so on and so one. After a certain point, it gets ridiculous.

Added the repo.
Chrome Launcher downloaded and the Netflixbmc.
When i try launch the app, i get "This add-on can not be configured"

Any ideas?

Did you figure this out? Have the same problem
Well new netflix web ui has arrived in oz. The plugin is indeed quite broken as a result. Unfortunately simple screen scraping is not going to cover it as there appears to be quite a bit of Ajax stuff. I don't have time to work on this at the moment hopefully corona finds a way :-)

Does the new UI at least function with keyboard commands so we could navigate it from a remote?

Thanks for all the work on this amazing add-on. Hopefully it will continue on.
I am using the unified remote on my phone and related server software on my ubuntu media pc. Not ideal

What would be cool is to be able to use netflix app on phone but somehow push the url of a selected movie or tv show to kodi to the netflixbmc play video action which still works fine. I have a chrome cast but its unreliable on my tv
new layout arrives here. bad news, it's not usable with keyboard (remote), not at all. no improvements to the old navigation. very disappointing... ;-(

Yep same experience here.
