By the way I don´t think the addon will get developed much longer after the next Netflix update. I´m very sad about that and I will thank addonscriptor and corona for the tons of (unbilled) work they had done which should had been done by netflix.
The website of netflix did just change, netflixbmc is still working with iexplorer, I don't make use of chrome/xbmc since the last last problems.
In my opinion the change of the website doesn't change the xbmc interface that much.
It would be better that netflix would make it's own xbmc addon', which could be used by netflix users only, I am sure that addon would become very popular, it's just sad that netflix doesn't want it's own xbmc/kodi addon, it would solve so many problems....
Edit:
I was thinking a bit too possitive, almost the whole netflixbmc addon doesn't work anymore.
If there are no ideas of changing the addon to the new netflix interface, this thread should be closed.
I hope that the addon will get an update, but without an update this addon is just dead.
I am a happy netflix user, I am glad that I am not depended of this xbmc addon to make use of netflix.
Available alternatives:
- chromecast
- smart tv containing the netflix program/addon, I still don't see the new interface.
- smart tv containing a webbrowser, so I can make use of netflix.
- making use of my htpc windows 8.1 app, or making use of chrome as my webbrowser and cast it to my tv.
It's just a shame that xbmc doesn't have an official netflix addon,
It seams that the most important companies available for streaming still have their doubts about xbmc/kodi movie/tv streaming, piracy is still a huge problem.
I am also making use of piracy addons, but I only make use of them because there are no real alternatives.
An alternative would be to buy dvd's and blu-rays, in my opinion that is just a solution from the past.
I think that within 5 years almost nobody will buy any dvd's or blu-rays, streaming services like Netflix are just the future, xbmc/kodi just need those services to servive.
If kodi will still be related to piracy in the next few years, kodi won't exist within 5 years, or very marginal.
In the past I did also download movies and tv shows, making use of all kind of download sites, jdownloader was my friend, well I didn't make use of jdownloader the last year.
O my God that was a lot of work for nothing, downloading terabytes of movies and tv shows that I never did see, that I never will see.
I think many people are still downloading files (movies and tv shows), piracy or not.
Just an idea, not many people would have a problem paying for streaming new movies and tv shows, like I did 30 years ago,
30 years ago it was common to make use of videotheeks to see movies (vhs) on a relative cheap way, I didn't make use of any videotheek in the last 20 years,
vhs and videotheeks are from the past, they will never come back.
By the way, vhs did just have a terrible quality, philips video v2000 was so much better but didn't make it because porn was not available...
