I reset the plugin & was able to see a populated 'My List' but this time it wouldn't play with an error suggesting that the 'WidevineCDM' needs to added to the plugin (I'm on a Mac). Added that (why was it removed!) & it still doesn't play.

I have now removed this plugin it's been nothing but a PITA for me.

Thanks

Thanks! This was the right hint. Reseting Netflixbmc solved my Problems. Add-on is working as required.

No, My List is working without any problems, if you see problems just send a logfile.
I think I have everything configured properly, running kodibuntu, openbox and set a script with permissions for it, netflixbmc seems to login fine and I can browse, but when I go to launch a movie I just get endless spooling?

Did you try clearing the cache and cookies?
Most of these issues sound like the list of things broken by the new netflix UI, but 1.3.22 changes the agent to try to force the older interface - it does requires a clear for the change to take place. It would be good if there was a way to force this on update, but I don't know of any standard way to do that...

It could be chrome starting in the background, it's not always easy to app-switch out of chrome to find out though.
If it's not running the the background there's any number of things that could go wrong. As always, you'll need to post a kodi log of just after it's failed for anyone to be able to help.

Clearing the chach adn cookies
I cleared the cache and cookies, then I made sure to leave the netflix application entirely so that when I loaded it it had to log back in.

While watching the log, I noted that it had to re-download all the pictures, so the cache was cleared.

However the "My List" still didn't show up, and "Search" still doesn't work.

There was no log error for My List, but there was one for search. I'll get the log output in an hour or so.

Edit: and I downloaded the updated 1.3.22 plugin

It doesn't seem to actually fail at any point though, I've left it going for a really long time, just get unlimited loading.. Which log should I post? Kodi's or is there one generated by netflixbmc? I'll have another crack at it today

You could be having DRM issues (assuming your running a linux ver of kodi) had the issue here and netflix didnt throw up an error just sat there......
try updating chrome stable
Code:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install google-chrome-stable
current ver is 43.0.2357.130-1 I think
reboot and then from a console type in
Code:
apt-cache policy libnss3
both the Installed and Candidate number's should be the same if not from console type in
Code:
sudo apt-get install  libnss3
I installed this addon on my ftv and when i try and view things all the folders are empty
My app to Play netflix videos on kodi from my tablet running netflix in chrome is working quite well. Its isolated from any web page changes that can affect the rest of the Netflixbmc

it occurs to me that I could change my android app to interact with chrome launcher directly and bypass netflixbmc.

I am doing the same as yatze app which allows opening YouTube videos on YouTube instead of on the android device.

Is there any interest from anyone to try it. Understand that I am a java dev specialising in integration not ui!

I think it sounds like a great idea in general, irrespective of the fact that personally I'm not a big fan of using phone/tablets as remotes. I know it works well for many others!
It sounds far more likely to work longer term with less likelihood of breakage from UI changes.

About the only thing that going via the netflixbmc plugin would give is the canned user data dir which provides pre-installed remote control plugin. I would recommend changing or at least giving the option to go straight to the chrome launcher, and perhaps publicize or push out a link to the remote control plugin so users can just install it in their primary chrome install.
I'm pretty sure I have the plugin restricted to only do anything while you're on the netflix site so it should be completely safe.

Actually netflixbmc currently has the web-remote functionality in it which is supposed to allow yahtse and similar to work with chrome..... it'd be better if this was in chrome launcher instead. It would be best if I could hurry up and finish my new chrome driver system which would work better again for remote controls. For now perhaps it is best to keep netflixbmc to try to get as much remote control integration as we can, even though it certainly doesn't work for everyone.
The app does not function as a remote. Its not that sophisticated nor am I yet proficient enough with android.

All it does is intercept the netflix.com/watch url from the browser and send a jsonrpc call to kodi instead.

So remote control is still on kodi or chrome

Oh yeah I get that, I was basically thinking out loud with regard to whether it'd be better for you app to go via netflixbmc or chrome launcher; assuming most people will want to use a remote of some kind with chrome, using netflixbmc will probably have a better chance of it working for end users at this stage.

Oh ok cool.

Well I can do one of two things. I can query kodi for existence of chrome launcher and netflixbmc. If netflixbmc exists I use that, otherwise if chrome launcher I use that otherwise I display error that required plugin is missing

Or I just provide a preference section which lets user choose which plugin to use.
