Hey guys,

I think I posted this in the wrong subforum...so I'm reposting here....

I'm currently running XBMC on top of Win7 Pro....but I'm building a new HTPC and would like to have it be a standalone system booting directly to XBMC via OpenELEC....

Can I use this set of instructions here... http://wiki.openelec.tv/index.php/HOW-TO...g_OpenELEC

to install on a 120GB SSD instead of a targeted USB?

Thanks in advance!
Yes.

Follow these instructions:

If your SSD is properly installed, you will see it included in the list of devices (as illustrated in the third screen shot down)

Thanks for the reply!! I was doing some testing and found that none of my drives were showing up in the list....does my 120GB SSD have to be in exFAT or FAT32 as opposed to NTFS?

Thanks again!
The OE installer doesn't care what it's formatted as, as it looks at the hardware - and, whatever format you have, it'll re-format it anyway.

Ok I think I know where I screwed up....the external USB hdd installer that I was using was formatted in NTFS Sad and that's probably why it couldn't recognize my SSD for OpenELEC install. I'll reformat my USB HDD in exFAT or FAT32 and then try this again!
