In the latest version of Kodi from unstable repository, it seems to be able to be controlled via the remote OK, until I use the volume buttons and then it becomes unresponsive. Keyboard and mouse control is OK. Not sure if it has anything to do with FLIRC or there is a bug in Kodi.
