Full Version: Adding remote file source to NAS with dns name

I have a synology Nas and a DynDNS name assigned to the external ip address.

I'm trying to setup the Xbmc on my Kindle Fire Stick with the sources pointing to my dns name and different folders on my Nas (movies, TV shows, etc.)

What is the best way to do this? Thanks!
WebDAV? I don't know if Synology does WebDAV easily?

I use webdav to access my content when I use the synology remote apps, so it should work. I'll give it a try when I get home and report back.

I tried it and XBMC let me add the network source, but when I tried to select the source and continue, I received an error saying "Unable to connect. Could not retrieve directory information. This could be due to the network not being connected. Would you like to add it anyway?"
