Hi!

I'm writing here as I'm having hard times making VNSI VDR Plugin work within Kodi.
I read the wikies other threads but I didn't find anything that solved my problem.
I'm a newbie so I may be missing something simple.

PROBLEMS:
  • The TV section in Kodi doesn't show up
  • When I enable the VNSI client I get the "connection lost" error

TV HARDWARE:
AverTV Volar HDPro A835
(working with Kaffeine, I read the drivers should be included in Linux kernel)

OS: Lubuntu 14.10

INSTALLED PACKAGES:
  • kodi 2:14.0~git20141223.1015-final-0utopic
  • kodi-bin 2:14.0~git20141223.1015-final-0utopic
  • kodi-pvr-vdr-vnsi 1.9.22-3utopic
  • vdr 2.0.3-2
  • vdr-plugin-vnsiserver 12.0+79+ge1c3fb1+dfsg1-3

KODI LOG:
--old-- http://pastebin.com/XBDwbFQ8
--updated-- http://pastebin.com/Vyqye3xX (not truncated log)

It seems to be a version issue, but I think I've installed all the last versions. Am I wrong?
never truncate log. post entire debug log.

Sorry, this one is complete http://pastebin.com/Vyqye3xX
vdr-plugin-vnsiserver 12.0+79+ge1c3fb1+dfsg1-3 is outdated and not compatible with Helix version.
btw: vdr 2.0.3 has a couple of bugs. I would go with 2.1.6
never mix vdr packages from different ppa, they may not be compatible.

you could (ppa)purge your current vdr packages and use this ppa: https://launchpad.net/~aap/+archive/ubun...ter=utopic

Thank you.

I now have these packages:
  • kodi-pvr-vdr-vnsi 1.9.22-3utopic (the same as before, not from the ppa you suggested)
  • vdr 2.1.6-302~3e4e445-utopic
  • vdr-plugin-vnsiserver 1.2.0-785~3b2cf31-utopic

but I still receive the same error message. Log http://pastebin.com/padseurH
please set logging level of vdr to 3 and post syslog and DEBUG log of kodi.
I had to change OS for other reasons.
Replacing Lubuntu 14.10 with 14.04.1 LTS and downloading VDR plugins from https://launchpad.net/~aap/+archive/ubun...ter=trusty solved the problems.

Thank you for your helpfulness!
glad that it works now.
