Okay folks. I don't know what I did but I did something. Running OS X 10.10.1. Modi was working great, then wife wanted me to record a show. Thats when everything went south. I tried to use the drv that supported timers and it locked up koi when I add it. Since then koi would just crash. So in my infinite wisdom I removed koi. Reloaded it and still crashes on startup. Here is a link to my process report.

All input is needed. Oh I am also new to apple products to.
To start Kodi virgin afresh:

OSX > Finder > Go > Go to Folder > ~/Library/Application Support

Make sure you included the squiggle ~ before /Library, copy and paste.

Rename the Kodi folder and the XBMC folder also, otherwise you get Kodi migrating your XBMC stuff again upon restart.
Cross fingers its an add-on incompatibility issue.

More detail needed:
are you running a PVR backend ?
Not sure what "drv" means ?

Kodi will not schedule or record anything unless you are running a PVR backend such as HDHomeRun or TvHeadend plugged into the Mac and a Kodi frontend client.

Kodi Logfile needed, not the OSX one - instructions here:

Okay lets try again.

Macbook Pro/ Yosemite 10.10.1

Yes running a back end or was trying to run on (DVBLink PVR Addon) that is what caused Kodi to lockup. Tried it cause it said timer supported.

I have no clue what the Kodi log file steps mean or how to even begin to do it. Can I not just find and delete this dvblink?

Be gentle
To delete just the DVBLink PVR add-on:

OSX> Finder > Applications Folder > Kodi.app > Right click > Show Package Contents > Contents > Resources > Kodi > addons > pvr.dvblink > Right click > move to trash > Click Applications Folder again

It should not crash on startup then, otherwise use the instructions in the previous post as its something else.

If you want to trouble shoot the DVBLink PVR Addon you have to follow the Wiki logfile generation process.
There is no other way to do it, unless you care to search this part of the forum for an answer:

What PVR backend are you running ?
DVBLink in Kodi is a front end client, are you sure you are running a backend PVR server ?

Wiki explaination here will help:

Whoo hoo got it up and working again. Can't thank you enough.
It all started with your wife wanting to record a show. I guess it is a compatibility issue.. you should then update your wife! Rofl
you should read PVR (wiki) - recording live tv is something which needs a proper live tv backend ...
