I am programming an ir remote in openelec. ALL of the keys throw the correct letters and numbers in openelec. However in Kodi, they do not. NONE of the letter keys throw any code and all the number keys throw letters. In the same pattern you would find on a phone keypad. Somehow Kodi is reading numbers as the letters on a phone.

Number 1 throws a period, 2 throws an A. 3 throws a D. 4 a G. 5 a J. and so on. A normal keyboard hooked up throws the correct numbers. This is only through the ir (That as I said, works perfectly in openelec, just not in Kodi. Somebody said something about a cellphone keyboard setting?
Sounds like T9
So why is it doing it? And how can I stop it? Those are the million dollar questions, lol
I did not make a file to enable T9 text input. It is doing it on it's own. Must be a bug? At least in the openelec version?
