Full Version: OpenELEC PC USB installer not recognizing USB

Hi Everyone

I followed this official tutorial http://wiki.openelec.tv/index.php/HOW-TO...g_OpenELEC

I can see the USB in explorer on (Windows 7) it named Openelec I running windows 7 on pc

I can successfully Boot USB Openelec on USB now I click quick install
and it does not show my USB as a option to install to only displays hard drives why is this?
any way to make it show my USB Drive I want to install it on my USB so I can boot it up and use xbmc/kodi via USB

could some one please help me as I am stuck and can't seem to get it to recognize my USB even though I can load Openelec it the Openelec installer
that not detecting my USB I very Frustrated I seen many videos and every one seems to be able to install it to USB for me it not working can some one guide me on how to fix this issue so I can install and enjoy OpenELEC on my USB

Did you try this method (using the Disk Image method):

Download the latest version of OpenELEC for your target system from:

http://openelec.tv/get-openelec

But download the disk image of the version of OpenELEC you want to use and follow
the steps on this page:

http://wiki.openelec.tv/index.php/HOW-TO...=DiskImage

If you get stuck, I would suggest posting your questions for OpenELEC on the OpenELEC forum as they will be best
to try and help you install OpenELEC on your target system.

never mind found solution use a usb stick that not running installer ha ha Big Grin
