Hi, I'm new to this but I'm using the latest KODI product when I try to view some of the options I get the message:
Playback Failed
One or more items failed to play.
Check the log file for details
Can you advise on what this means or even where I can view the log file and how i might correct it.

That means what it says
. The playback of the selected file failed. There might be some hints in the log file.
Click on the following link, for a logfile howto:
Debug Log
For getting proper infos in the logfile, you have to enable debug logging in "system settings" -> "system" -> "debug logging" -> "enable deug logging"
So...
1. Enable debug logging
2. Restart Kodi
3. Play the file again which crashed (dont do anything else0
4. Dont close Kodi (thats important)
5. Grab the logfile and paste it to a pastebin site like: pastebin.com or sprunge.us
7. Provide the URL here in forums (dont post the log in a posting...only the link please)
Of course you can check yourself, but you are able to let others look too to get help with this.

I used to be able to play these videos in this show. But I wasn't able to do so the next day. I'd appreciate any advice!

there's no trace of you trying to run an addon in your log?
you need to recreate the issue while you make the
Debug Log.
which addon is giving you problems & please create a new
Debug Log.
