Full Version: VIDEO SPEEDS UP EVERY SO OFTEN : Mx2 android box

When playing only a few specific movies, regardless of the addon or source used, the movie will play normally tge speed up for just a half a second then go back to normal speed again. And this will happen over and over again through out the entire playback.
This does not happen with every movie, only a few specific titles.
These movies are being streamed from the Internet, not played from a local network.
I'm using a MX2 box with Linux XBMC.

Thoughts?
You might goto your OS' website on how to install codecs. Make sure you have all the most up to date and proper ones. If you do you might try uninstalling them (apt-get -purge remove ...) and reinstalling them. XBMC mostly relies on its host's codecs to playback video, not anything that comes packaged with it (it will try to install codecs it needs if you don't have them)

No, XBMC/Kodi does not use any external codec libraries from the host OS. Everything in official XBMC/Kodi builds are included internally.
