Anyone else who reads this if you have posters on this thread is it ok if i upload, but also want to share with Emby Community Forum. Thanks

It's fine by me. I also see animated posters being shared on other sites, so why not. A lot of animated posters shared on this forum (and in the database) also come from other sources.
I think it's great people are getting interested and new ones are being created and shared too.
Firstly, thanks to everyone contributing to this, Wouldn't it be a better idea to add them to https://fanart.tv ?

Isn't that where the Artwork downloader gets the normal artwork?

Fanart.tv requires certain specifications. Most animated gifs don't have those specifications :-(
I already asked earlier. This is also the reason why I created my own database.
Added 3 more set posters to link I sent you.

Transformers
Terminator
Godzilla
I'm a bit puzzled, I'm using MQ7 Jarvis with artwork downloader, & some of the posters are gifs. Where are they coming from?

Also, I haven't searched every page, but could someone point me to a link for downloading them.

http://www.consiliumb.com/animatedgifs/movies.json just shows text on a webpage.

Thanks

The .json file contains the info (imdb number, etc) for all the movies with a .gif. With that info you can construct the url.
If you go to http://www.consiliumb.com/animatedgifs you will get a list of all gifs.

Artwork downloader does nothing with animated gifs. It will be the skin using the skin.helper addon as that is the only addon that automatically accesses rschiks database in kodi. There should be an option somewhere to enable it or disable it in the skin settings.

If the skin uses the addon and is enabled then it automatically downloads once at startup all posters available for correctly tagged films in your library.

If you want to do a film manually, i.e. choose a diff gif as some films have several then press 'C' and there should be an 'animated' option.

You can check if it is this addon getting the animated gifs by looking in your thumbnails folder and you should have an animated gifs folder containing everything downloaded by the addon skin.helper

It seems to be as you say, I can see how to change them, not that I want too. I can't see any gifs on my nas where my movies are. or a animated gifs folder on my nas.
It's not important, I was just curious.
The artwork downloader stores the animated gifs in the thumbnail folder. If you don't redirect the thumbnail folder to a network share the folder is located in the userdata folder of Kodi. So you have to look at your local PC.

You need to get over to Fanart.TV forums to register interest in opening a new section for motion posters there. The more people ask the more likely it will be that a section gets opened ! Click the link for info.

Opening Sections On Fanart.TV

So what did they end up saying about the idea?
