Not sure if this is Kodi/skin/addon related, but here goes.

When switching channels (PVR) the behaviour that I experience is to
1. show the info (for the current channel)
2. then switch
3. then show the info (for the new channel),

and I think the normal behaviour would be to
1. try to show the info (for the new channel)
2. then switch
3. reset the timeout, so as to continue to show the info (for the new channel)

This might be what you're looking for:

Settings -> Live TV -> Playback --> Deplay channel switch

The delay will show the other channel's info before switching to that channel.

I don't know what I was thinking, but I wrote the exact opposite.

So what I experience today (using IPTV Simple and Maximinimalism) is that I'm on Channel#1 and press next...
and while the connection is ongoing for Channel#2, I see the info for the #2 (although visually the switch hasn't been made i.e. I might still see a frozen image of Channel #1)

Ah, so your request is that the info for channel 2 is only seen once the switch is actually made?
