The trailers in (in cinema) are all in english. Any chance to change this over kodi language option?
Just checking, but I went through all the views and (talking Movies section here) Media info with Extra Info checked seems to be the only way to see runtime, any possibility to add that to other views? I don't know about others but runtime is a much more useful bit of info than say, rating. Thanks for your help !

If kiosk mode is enabled and the default kodi play action is set to show info this is exactly what already happens
well not really, it does do similar to what I suggested but there is no discart and extrathumbs and no trailers plus the play would be better at the top and then cast, I know what you mean but this is why I suggested what I did as its just about there apart from trailers and the discart and extrathumbs

These labels are set by kodi. I could match with a variable but I think its a bit of a waste of time to be honest. The only use case for codec info that I'm aware of is passthrough audio to a receiver as some receivers dont support all codec types or have specialised settings for certain codec types (e.g. Dolby vs DTS) - so I don't think its that big of a deal as you can still tell what codec it is and different regions are going to have their own variants of some anyway.

Settings > Addons > Enabled Addons > Helper Addons > Extended Info > Configure > Language for the MovieDB requests

Should be way more views than that: List, Wide, Big Wide, Cards, Extra Info, Media Info
The only ones that dont are Icons, Big Icons, Thumbs, and Big List
Though I do have a change coming to the flags (on git) that will show duration instead of video codec for those views that don't have a duration in the list.

An addon that shows trailers and things like that before playing the movie to give a feeling of being at the cinema.
1) The video addon "dokumonster.de" (german documentaries) allows only the views "Big wide" and "Preview" for the video list. Probably an issue of the addon and not your skin. Do you see any easy fix?

I'm not sure why. Which systems are you using? MySQL Backends? (All data helps)
Could be service.library.data.provider or any scrapper filling the database.

1. what views are available depends on what content type the addon sets -- no content only get big list and thumbnails. If it sets as episodes then you get all views that have landscape artwork. If it sets as movies then you get all views.
2. This is a case of damned if you, damned if you dont. In eminence I had a small spinner in the corner and I get complaints that its not obvious enough and should be centered on the screen. In this skin people complain about it being the other way around! I think having an option for this is excessive - this is something that will have to be left up to user mods.

OpenELEC on the htpc, Fedora on the laptop. OpenELEC machine has local files on usb drives, standard local library database and uses Universal Movie scraper (though no problems when I was using default moviedb scraper either - just switched for imdb top250 stuff). Laptop has local database with content via samba.
Nothing fancy, no shared databases or NAS storage or anything like that.

Any way to have weather has the widget on main menu? I have no widgets on any item (Movies, TV, etc.) so I'm in skin settings > customise main > Widgets, could I put something in Custom widget 1 and have weather just stay on the main menu then as the widget? I don't find the default widget scrolling through movies to be useful for me so just checking, thanks !

Are you saying that you want it in the selector at the top of the screen? I dont see much point to that because you can just change between them there anyway?

There are a couple of different options. If you set the slideshow path then the default widget wont show. Then you can select show weather widget from home options. Alternatively you can set individual backgrounds/slideshows for each menu item individually. The last option is if you set weather fanart in skinsettings > backgrounds then set each individual menu item widget to weather in the home customisation screen. Each eay acheives a slightly different result in terms of what is displayed as the background.
