Hey all...
Since the discontinuation of the Apple TV 2 soon.

I have no idea on any android boxes.

I only want to use my box for Kodi @ 1080p

The 2 that have come to mind after researching are :

Amazon Fire TV
M8 Amlogic S802

If anyone has any other input that would be amazing.
I wish there was other that had a Airplay feature like the Apple TV2 did.

"Kodi @ 1080p" doesn't quite provide enough info. Full BD rips? HD audio? 3D? Also need content apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.?

Don't need Netflix or any of that.
and Im based in Canada.

Raspberry pi 2 with the quad core looks promising.

As a note... It will be running off my TV in my entertainment room. So something almost exact like the Apple TV 2 is what im looking for

Re: 3D, if you need frame-packed 3D playback, this limits your choices under Kodi. Also, FTV, which you listed, is for network attached media playback only. No USB unless the box is rooted. It also doesn't do 3D or HD audio. Otherwise, it would fit the bill for what you listed.

Kodi can do all but Mirroring. I use that feature all the time.

I got the AFTV and love it. But no need for 3D or HD audio for me.
