Hi all,
I am trying to figure out a request another user of Kodi had of me. They want to have Kodi play through hdmi for movies BUT play through optical for music.
We've found how to switch them and it works but is there a way to get Kodi to default to one output for just music? If I have to edit a file/create a script I'll need a bit of guidance but the guy is adamant about having it act this way.
If he uses his HDMI his receiver takes the 2.1 audio and processes it to his 7.1 setup. He wants it to not do this and it doesn't with his optical input.
Any thoughts/ideas are appreciated. I didn't see anything like this in any other posts.
