Hi,
I do not have access to TrueHD or DTS-HD decoding in the Kodi audio settings - I think this could be an EDID issue as my receiver (Pioneer VSX-70) supports decoding of those streams.
My Ubuntu install is per these instructions: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=174854
* Omitted autostart script
* Added ubuntu-desktop for convenience while troubleshooting
I've also installed pavucontrol and configured per these instructions: http://kodi.wiki/view/PulseAudio
I have an mkv file with the following audio stream (per MediaInfo): English, 48.0KHz, 24 bits, 8 channels, FLAC Surround 7.1. This file will only playback stereo audio in Kodi.
