Hi There,

I use Kodi 14.1 (problem also occured with 14.0 and XBMC 13.2). When I start Kodi, I immediatly receive an error stating 'Skin shortcuts - unable to built menu' with the question to upload my log. How can I get rid of this anoying error? My log is shown below.

Geez my finger got so tired from scrolling that I forget the question! Can you please use a public paste-bin for logs and link it back to your questiopn (just include the URL addy) http://xbmclogs.com/ is the one I use.
I wanted to but is seems that that website is offline or is experiencing db issues:

Sticky Notes DB error

Database connection failed! Please check your DB settings.
Try http://pastebin.com/ but any public paste bin will do. Filling up the forums with logs is going to make it tough in the future.
OK I editted my post. Here is the link http://pastebin.com/mtV6EakN

Can I somehow disable this error? I do not understand what it is trying to say nor does the log file make it any clearer...

I am getting this error only with Aeon Flux skin. The standard Confluence skin works fine without any errors.
Thank-you for pruning your log down to a pastebin link.

You have a lot going on in that log, the standouts seem to be related to script.skinshortcuts with multiple errors starting 16:29:59 and culminating with 'script.skinshortcuts: Failed to write menu'. Looking at the wiki, the remedy is with the specific skin forum (if any). I'm a little suspicious of the language change (just wondering if switching to English would make any difference). I've also noticed this one associated with Aeon Nox 16:29:57 T:2976 INFO: Error loading includes.xml file and noted that the issue appears to be skin related.

I would disable the script skinshortcuts first... then look at the forum Aeon Nox and look for messages related to your set-up (make sure you are using the latest skin software). Try using the english language as default and consider a Kodi update.

I did notice some discussion of translation and versions in the Skinshortcuts forum.. http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=178294&page=12 and direct links to the latest on github. from the author.
Ok thnx Pat! I will have a look at your suggestions. Keep you posted!
