i am runing win8.1 and happy with Kodi 14.1, except for exit, which takes a bit of time.
I am tempted to upgarde to win10. Will I have to re-install Kodi?..
Why would you have to reinstall because you updated your OS?

depends if you wipe you disk Wink
No, Microsoft is offering a free upgrade from win8 to win10, so its an upgrade, not a clean istall
I only did an "in place upgrade" once (Vista to 7) and it took hours to migrate settings. Other than that I only do clean installs to fresh format (using formatter in the install disk). But I run Kodi in portable mode, so there is nothing to upgrade. You could create a new install of Kodi to run in portable mode (-p) copy all your data from your userdata to portable_data and then you are protected on any upgrade (I don't install into Program Files (x86) either). I use a separate disk partition / drive letter so it isn't affected by anything done on "C:" (system) drive.
