Hi everyone. So I was running xbmc on Ubuntu 12.04, but decided to upgrade to 14.04. Now I can't seem to get audio over my hdmi connection. I've tried the advice from a number of forums, I've messed with pavucontrol, the passthrough settings on kodi, and /etc/pulse/default.pa
When I run
speaker-test - c 2 -r 48000 -D hw:1,7
I can hear static on both of my tv's speakers but when I add
load-module module-alsa-sink device=hw:1,7
to etc/pulse/default.pa it breaks the connections to pulseaudio, pavucontrol won't open and I can't see my hdmi connection in kodi settings.
Help?
