To the point. Yahoo weather works along with movie playing and music.
But when I play my recorded TV shows (.ts) Kodi kicks right out. The
program stops and goes back to the launch icon. Kodi version ARM.

which Hardware you are using?
And which settings are enabled for Video-acceleration.

I have a problem on kodi, which could be the same as youres, on a himedia Q10ii.
