If there's going to be any news on a new Shield it's most likely to come a CES 2017 (Jan.). Nvidia had released a "Topics" video which showed that one of the topics to be covered is the Shield.

I sideloaded the Sony Amazon apk and it does 1080p with 2.0 audio.

The new version can do 1080p with 5.1 DD+, but your connected device (TV or AVR) has to be able to decode DD+ or the app will crash.

What would you do, if the functionality of the sideloaded app gets broken? Is it also possible to you use the amazon video services with a browser?

You add 2 devices to your activity, Shield and Windows PC, install the Keymap Editor add-on and use this to setup your Hub and Kodi.

Tinwarble - I am aware that this isn't a Harmony forum, but I had a quick question: how do I install the keymap editor add-on to my harmony?
Also, another thing that has been bugging me for a while - I can't find a way to open specific apps (like Netflix, etc) using my harmony elite. Only option is to use a keymap editor to assign keys, but it ends up disabling the keyboard completely...

You don't add Keymap Editor to your Harmony, it's a Kodi add-on that allows you to map the inputs for Kodi.
