I want to create advancedsettings.xml to access my central database on my Nexus 7 for Kodi helix. I have Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files but I can't create /.kodi/userdata/ using ES File explorer. How do I get it there? Does my device require root?

You need ES File Explorer to show you "hidden files" to see the .kodi folder.
