On my main Windows HTPC whenever I set the sampling rate to Studio Quality and 5.1 audio in the audio settings after a reboot it's back stereo and DVD quality.

Will this effect the output of Kodi?
If so does anybody know how I make these settings stick and are they only relevent to audio that is processed and not passthrough HD audio?

AFAIK only relevant to decoded audio - anything bitstreamed will not be affected.

Thanks, thats makes sense. Should only effect mp3 and AAC then.

Or FLAC, APE, should you have any - basically anything your receiver can't or won't decode
