Hey, gang! I'm trying to set up a nifty media center and sort of stumped on the best way to arrange things. I have attached here a little chart that shows what I have set up.

What I'm wanting is the following:

For, under the Videos>Files tab for there to be one folder called ARCHIVE (the HDD) and one folder called ACTIVE (the torrentbox XP laptop with shows and movies I'll watch and delete.

Each one should have a TV Shows folder and a Movies folder for a total of four.

This I can arrange pretty easily through SMB sharing.

Where it gets tricky is in getting XBMC to scrape all the folders and update the libraries in the Movies and TV Shows home screens. It only ever does the files in one for some reason.

Does anyone have a tutorial on how to properly set this sort of thing up best?

Thanks!

Micah
It shouldn't really matter how the shares are arranged as long as the file names are correct. See adding videos to the library (wiki).
