Any chance of an Apple Watch App to remotely control Kodi? I'd gladly pay for such a feature - and I'm sure others who can afford an Apple Watch would agree.
I feel that this request could stay alone for a long time, let's see how many other people will follow the same request
Fair enough, but I really think remote controls are the killer app for smart watches... though, of course, from the Kodi perspective, who buys an Apple Watch who doesn't use iTunes / Apple TV for all their media needs? Other than me?
I would be very interested in this as well. I use the IOS remote exclusively for kodi instead of a physical remote. It would be great if I could use my watch to quickly control kodi without having to reach for my phone.
I would also like this feature for the Apple Watch. I currently use an XBMC remote on my Pebble smart watch, made by Skipstone. It's very useful for navigating/play pause/volume.
For anyone getting the Apple Watch at launch, Roomie Remote has updated its app to support the apple watch. This should hold me off until a watch app is developed for the kodi remote.

Thanks, I'll give it a try!

It's quite expensive though: $10 for the app, and for Apple Watch support you need to pay an annual subscription of $17 (or $2 a month). Now I'm happy to pay for such an app, but that's really pushing me to my limits!
I would love this request to be filled...along with my Apple Watch to appear at my house on April 24th. Smile
Sorry for a little self promotion, but I've developed an app called "Sofa for Kodi". I'm happy about feedback and feature requests. It's mainly build for my own habits with Kodi though. http://pixelflush.com/blog/2015/04/24/so...ple-watch/

Ouch, didn't realize that a subscription was needed for the Apple Watch support.

Considering how awesome the iOS remote app has been over the years, I would say you would be totally justified if you requested that the Foundation buy you an Apple Watch. I have no idea if the Board of Directors would approve it, but the awesome factor would be high enough to ask, IMO :D

On the Apple watch; does this app support navigation arrows and enter/back button?

Nope it does not right now, but got this request before and will include this with the next bigger update. Right now a bug fix release is sent to Apple for review and the one after that will include arrows + enter/back. Personally I'm not using arrow buttons, so could someone explain to me how those are used?
I use the buttons to navigate the onscreen interface of XMBC.

For instance, it is the only way to adjust the "zoom" level of a video, since you have to navigate the video menu -> down botton, to zoom option -> enter -> Left/right button, to the desired zoom level -> back button, to go back to the video.

Or if I want to power down the whole PC, I can go "back" to Kodi's main screen, and "arrow down" to power, and "arrow down" to power off system, and "enter" to turn it off.

Basically, if you can use those [arrow/enter/back] buttons, you can use practically every feature of Kodi by navigating it's menus.

The remote I used on my pebble watch had many of the same functions as the "Remote Control" portion of the official Kodi Remote, (only no touch screen).

Also, please let us know when you have added these features, because I will definitely purchase the first app to add these features to the watch.

Thank you!
