I've been able to control the Pi through my Panasonic TV remote quite nicely but there are a few buttons I'd like such as a context menu. I have a Harmony remote, can anything be mapped to add extra functionality via CEC? Not interested in using any IR dongles or the like, only CEC.
I use this add on to map any of the buttons that don't work out of the box with pii and openelec;

And can you pass commands that the TV wouldn't normally support over CEC?
Have a look at this thread http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewto...8&p=628148

I typed in "kodi remap cec" first link in Google Smile good luck report back bud

The set of buttons that are passed by CEC are determined by the TV.
There may be ways to change this but that will be a TV feature, not a Kodi option.

If you press a button and nothing is seen by the keymap addon (or in debug log), then you won't be able to use that button with kodi.
You may find there are some buttons (like coloured ones) that are passed to kodi, but unmapped, or not usefully mapped. They can be mapped to more useful functions.
Re: CEC polling, is it possible to disable everytime RPi2 boots up (OpenELEC)?

In settings go to system/input/peripherals/cec and disable.
Thanks.
Using the keymap addon seems to have worked a treat. Haven't fully tested it but as insinuated above, the colour buttons are apt candidates for remapping, they pass over CEC. Tested a couple out and they work fine.
