I hope it helped
If I upgrade to the latest dsplayer, will I lose anything and have to do the setup all over again? I am running version 15.2 on Windows 10. Also, does the Jarvis beta have bugs, where I should wait for the official release, or is it OK to install the beta now?

No, all settings will be saved. The only significant Jarvis bug I have encountered is incorrect black levels with DVDPlayer. This seems to impact older hardware the most.

Question, do these updates coincide with the Kodi releases? On the kodi website, only up to beta 4 is available to download. How is this dsplayer beta 5 available?

Ok, I just installed Jarvis, and after starting kodi, the screen goes black after loading initial startup. Isengard 15.2 was working fine
I found a bug in DSPlayer that can't be fixed. Movies (and not TV shows) will drop around 30 frames during the first 30 seconds of playback. After that, playback is smooth. This happens with recent versions of madVR. I'm not sure when it was introduced.
I had been watching mostly TV shows and hadn't noticed it, even though this issue had been reported by another user. That 30 seconds won't likely cause anyone to abandon DSPlayer, but it is a flaw of the player. FYI, for those with OCD.
I guess we really do need a replacement for dsplayer that would offer same feature or better
It's also happening with other players such as MPC BE. I think its madvr

I don't have this issue.. Only 4 frames or so, at launch, barely noticeable
I have another issue more disturbant though..
When I make OSD appear (move mouse or M keyboard shortcut), video is laggy.
When OSD disappears, video is smooth again.
No dropped/repeated frames or presentation glitches in madVR stats.
Windows 10 FSE D3D11 10bit.
I didn't have this issue on Windows 7 FSE D3D9 8bit.
