Hi all,
I have a problem with this DSPlayer build from 20170210 32-bit on Windows 7.
When I try to watch Live-TV with DVBViewer PVR, like I did with 16.X DSPlayer, I get this error:
22:41:58.844 T:6836 ERROR: CFGLoader::LoadFilterRules Extension "" not found. Please check mediasconfig.xml
22:41:58.844 T:6836 ERROR: CFGManager::RenderFileXbmc Failed to load filters rules
22:41:58.844 T:6836 NOTICE: thread end: CDSGraphThread::OnExit()
22:41:58.844 T:10112 ERROR: CDSPlayer:
rocess - Failed creating DS Graph
I don't have a mediasconfig.xml or a playercorefactory.xml
When I turn of DSPlayer and use VideoPlayer for all, it just works.
It may be fixable by just adding:
Code:
<playercorefactory>
<rules action="prepend">
<rule protocols="pvr" player="VideoPlayer" />
</rules>
</playercorefactory>
but I want to have DSPlayer play it. Bug? Feature?
Thanks.

As per the official guide, DSPlayer supports NextPVR, MediaPortal and Argus TV. DVBViewer would only be compatible with VideoPlayer. I don't know how you got it to work with Jarvis.

hmm strange. But Isengard had official support for DBViewer, no?

Well, if support for DVBViewer is gone I think there should be some default config so that it works ouf of the box with VideoPlayer without manually hacking XML files
I build a net HTPC with a Intel Pentium G4560 on a DeskMini 110 and the problem is the gui is blinking when i watch a video, help me please.

Out of curiosity, is this going to be in active development again, or was it just updated with much needed love? I have an issue where I feed a stream into dsplayer via an addon, but it doesn't like the way the media info is formatted. Is there any possibility of forcing it to run the head of the stream through kodi's media info, and using that instead? I feel it will solve a lot of addon issues that aren't related to poor internet connection. As it stands, kodi just crashes to desktop when I feed it any codec info that it doesn't like (for example eac3, sometimes AAC, h264 10p).

I think this is your answer.
I think aracnoz would be kind enough if he updated his build when Kodi 17.1 is going to be released. To ask for more... it seems to me it's too much. But it's simply my opinion.
I've tested your 32-bit build _Andy_. Looks OK so far but the UI is still dog slow :-( ... and still sound and movie stutter while watching them all over the place. CPU and GPU usage are very low. This also happens with VideoPlayer so I think DSPlayer itself is not the problem. Using Jarvis DSPlayer everything is smooth again without any stutter at all.
Note: I cannot play MPEG-TS files with this. Official Krypton release works with those files, official DSPlayer Krypton cannot play them too (VideoPlayer works) - Known?
EDIT: after hours of testing, disabling addons, starting from scratch, diffing XML config files and so on I found the culprit for all the stuttering and UI slowness:
UPnP!
Either "Share my libraries" or "Allow remote control via UPnP" or both together - if enabled, GUI is dog slow, video/sound playback stutters. If both options are disabled, GUI is fast and no video/sound stuttering at all. Same applies to official Krypton release and official Krypton DSPlayer.
WTF!??! :-D
So after weeks of trying different settings and messing with stuff, I am turning here for help. I have been unable to successfully run DSPlayer without it continually crashing and giving me errors since day 1. I am confident the issue is with DSPlayer and not MadVR as MPC-HC runs flawlessly with MadVR.
I have tired multiple versions, 32bit and 64bit, multiple installs, multiple settings, DX9 instead of 11, no fullscreen exclusive and everything else I can think of.
Essentially, I load Kodi, play a file and 60% of the time the application crashes, freezes, or displays no picture and freezes but has sound. I have attached a pastebin file for analysis. I am at a loss as to the issue and am close to giving up hope. Please review the log and advise.

I'm no expert on crash reports, but:
21:30:25.445 T:7284 DEBUG: CRenderDSManager::Configure - change configuration. 1920x1080. display: 1920x1080. framerate: 23.81.
21:30:26.445 T:7284 WARNING: CRenderDSManager::Configure - timeout waiting for configure
Two questions - what are you using in Lav Video - Cuda, Native or copy back? Try copy back if not already using. And, have you disabled refresh rate change in Madvr and enable in Kodi? With a 4k display,not sure why its trying to switch to 1080p...and that framerate looks odd.

Focus on madVR display modes and turn off refresh rate matching in Kodi. You want to add: 2160p23, 2160p24, 2160p50 and 2160p60.

Thanks a lot
i changed all the 2160's with 1080 and 720 , and everything is perfect now
Not dropped frames atall
The only strange is , when i start a movie , it delays for about 2-3 seconds
