I use the 32 bit version on my 64 bit machine. Almost all computer are coming with a 64 bit OS these days. I meant, u are likely to see no difference at all, but u'll have more compability. For example, I didn't have Youtube DASH 1080p if using the 64 bit version.
So I'd give it a try. U can even install both versions, being one in portable mode, and see if it works better for u.
(2017-02-25, 20:49)_Andy_ Wrote: [ -> ]Hello aracnoz. Thanks for the continuous support. The libbluray is working now in the x64 version. I know the x64 is marked as unstable but for me you did an amazing job and the x64 is stable as the x32. I only found two issues that is not working like in the x32 build. The python module PIL and the libbluray. I don't blame you because i know x64 it's experimental. I only want to report what i found.

If your PVR fix is in your github than the fix is in my build too. I can't test this because i don't use and have PVR. I only saw you have released the fix one day after you have updated github. As i'm not really good in c++ and reading such amount of code i assumed the fix is not in github. If the PVR fix is not working in my build maybe the new PRs from Kodi Krypton broke this. No user who uses my build confirmed or not confirmed the PVR fix.
So i don't really know if PVR is working as expected.

Maybe the user who asked can download and test the builds (aracnoz PVR fix and my build) if PVR is working as expected or not and report.

I can also confirm, that BluRay ISO-images works now in 64-bit with this updated libbluray.dll-file, thanks aracnoz. Anybody else having instant crash with 64-bit version, when normal DVD-ISO is loaded with Videoplayer? These are last lines in Kodi log-file before crash:

15:42:07.996 T:15572 DEBUG: Thread VideoPlayer start, auto delete: false

32-bit version works correctly.
Hello

Can someone test this new build? I have missed to merge the latest commits from aracnoz. I guess this is the reason why the PVR bug is in my previous build. Damn me :-(
If the build works i will make a x64 build.

Working great Smile Thanks a lot _Andy_ Smile
@goodton Thank you for testing. So the PVR bug is solved in the new build?

Yes it is Smile
@goodton Big thx for testing and for confirmation that the bug is solved in the build. Maybe you can test the x64 build too.
As promised both releases.

@_Andy_ : Also 64-bit has this PVR bug now fixed. I have to say that I'm pretty amazed how well both of these DS-versions work, especially this 64-bit version is a little wonder and has become my daily driver Smile

Great stuff @aracnoz and @_Andy_, for keeping this project alive Smile
@goodton Thx for testing and confirmation that the bug is solved.
Yes, aracnoz does an amazing job with both versions. For me both versions a very stable and i use the x64 only. Only if i need the python module PIL i use the x32 because the movielib add-on needs it, but this happens maybe twice a month, so i don't care.
Sometimes i experience the known issue when closing Kodi (some user report this issue with the official Kodi versions, maybe GPU driver related). Kodi hangs and i need to kill Kodi with the task manager. With the x64 version i never have had this issue. For me with the x64 version is a great piece of work.
Guys out of curiosity what are the advantages with madvr if I was to.upgrade to 64bit?
4k videos stuttering w/ Fx 6200 OC & GTX 970 on JS8500 using Kodi

Hello,

I'm using Kodi 16 Jarvis with Madvr. When i play 4k videos i get alot of dropped frames.. Totally unwatchable. Even if i use dsplayer default player it stutters.
If i play the 4k video using my tv it doesnt stutter or if i use windows 10 default player. So its something with Kodi. Thank you in advance!

Some examples of video i've tested.

@blackbanana : All your tested HEVC-files are Main10-level very high bitrate 10-bit files and your GTX 970 does not have HW-decoding support for these. So your machine is doing very demanding SW-decoding, which quite probably chokes your CPU.

I would suggest to invest to more modern GPU, if you plan to stick in NVidia-family just for HW-decoding even the cheapest GTX 1050 would handle these files easily. But if you are planning to use Kodi DSPlayer with MadVR, the GTX 1060 for example could be a better choice: those clever MadVR-algorithms can be very GPU-tasking.

But why can i play them using windows 10 default player or even play them with my tv? I mean my js8500 cant have a better cpu and gpu than my htpc?

If I remember correctly, some functions are faster on madVR's x64 build.
