which settings are required in mediasconfig to use youtube addon with dsplayer ? (Kodi 17.6)

But it looks like Kodi 17.6 is not supportet and i dont want to use ffmpeg because i cannot timeshift :/  In MePo 1.18 Live TV with madVR works perfect inkl. Pause / Timeshift funktion. But i dont want to use MePo only for Live TV 

 Not sure how I can help you other follow the directions in that link and see what happens.  I stopped using the PVR component a couple of years as Fios doesn't support cable cards in my area.  If it doesn't work then just delete the options and go without it or manually enable VideoPlayer instead of DSPlayer when watching Live TV.

DSPlayer LiveTV in Kodi 17.6 dosnt work!! I can do anything.. it still wont work, it uses always VideoPlayer, even if i force DSPlayer to all protocolls and filetypes

I really dont know y, but it works if i start a channel over Category / channels. Then it works good inkl seek and timeshift..

only when i start a channel from the list "last watched" it starts with VideoPlayer instead of DSPlayer

 Even though, I cant help you on this topic, I face the exact problem with Argus TV. So it is not only related to MediaPortal

I have been using Kodi for a few years now and find it the best for browsing my movie collection, I have just ventured into the world of 4K and whilst Kodi will play 4K I don't think it can manage the HDR side of things so for now I have been using MPC-HC + Madvr and everything play OK but the usability is a bit clunky compared to what I have been use to, I have tried to get MPC-HC to run has an external player but it failed.

Am I right in assuming  that with this DSPlayer setup I will be able to use the same filters etc. has my HPC-HC setup therefore still getting the full 4K HDR experience and still use the Kodi interface, Also I would like to install has a portable setup which I do now with my normal Kodi install.
Are there any help files I could refer to 

My setup is

Samsung KS9000 65" 4K
Nvidia Gforce GX 1050ti GPU
4K movie played from server storage

Hi, some versions of NVIDIA drivers make a mess of HDR, pop over to the MADVR thread and read back a few pages, also make sure you've set your custom res in MADVR itself, not in NVIDA setttings.

4K HDR plays perfect on my system but i'm using an AMD RX 550 which has its own issues, after weeks of tinkering and rebuildst I can now play everything perfectly with some caveats which i've explained on the MADVR forum. MY system is now Rock solid.

Yes, DSPlayer can do exactly what you are looking for. If you are using GTX 1050Ti with Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, it's better to remain with driver version 385.69 or earlier.

DSPlayer comes with its own built in filters, which you configure pretty much the same way as you do in MPC-HC, or it can use external filters, completely configurable with rules that allow you to have different combination of filters for different kinds of files (this is something no other player I'm aware of allows, by the way). Considering madVR has its own internal rules for scaling, post processing, etc., it becomes extremely powerful as a solution to extract the best possible quality from every file.

 What I wanted was a media centre interface where I could browse through my movies with cover art, back drops and info etc. and be able to play 4K movie with HDR from my server at the click of a button and at the moment the option I have tried are
 

• Powerdvd  which crashed on my system  Nvidia  GeForce GTX  1050 ti
  
• standard Kodi which plays 4K but no HDR
  
• MPC-HC and Madvr Plays 4K with HDR but No real interface and a lot of keyboard and mouse work to get to the main goal
  
• Kodi DSPlayer seem to work a treat and gives everything I want which is just movies with cover art and info
  

So a BIG thanks to all those that have made this possible and  lets hope it continue

From what it can be understood from the madVR's thread on Doom9, madshi is in contact with someone at Nvidia. So I think they've been made aware of the problem and it should be resolved sooner (hopefully) or later.
