To receive meaningful assistance you will need to provide a full debug log.

The instructions are here... debug log (wiki)

If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.Restart Kodi
3.Replicate the problem.
4.Upload the log to Kodi Paste Site manually or use the Kodi Logfile Uploader. (wiki) With either method post the link to the log back here.

If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file (wiki)

In both instances, you should see the word DEBUG throughout the log.

Note: Full logs only. No partial or redacted logs

Now another problem lol

I’m having a strange problem with my kodi player. So to start, I have to set my monitor to 24hz since my avr won’t display anything if I leave it at the 23.976. So now when I play a movie my display will change to the 24hz and everything works great. After the movie when I try an close kodi my screen goes black and for the life of me I couldn’t figure out why. Until I hooked up another monitor to see what was going on. It turns out that when I close kodi it somehow switch’s my display to 23.976 and I don’t know how to make it stop doing that.

You might try setting up whitelists (resolutions you want). But considering repository.dsplayer you are using a defunct player, it might have something to do with the old code limitations. I encourage you to select Kodi internal player which has gone through many advances, tweaks and is supported. Lets hear your take on the Kodi player in other forums such as https://forum.kodi.tv/forumdisplay.php?fid=264

I’ve been using this for many years without problems, mostly because I use madvr. But the problem just started and it only does it when I close the program

Then I would look closely at any changes you've made to the set-up and if necessary a reversion to what worked.

You should post a log capturing that problem while it happens.

Maybe I'm missing it but I don't see any video playback happening here.

One thing that I would try, if I were you, would be to see whether the problem happens with just one screen connected to the PC.

I’ve always had two screen hooked up and it’s never been a problem tho, also when opening the program it takes forever now to open.

It's just a suggestion. When debugging you inevitably have to resort to trial and error. ;-)
Hoping you can help me fix an issue.  Does anyone know the best Nvidia Graphics Driver to use with a 3080 graphics card to properly handle HDR content?

Here's the background:

I'd been running Kodi DSPlayer w/ MadVR for the last 3 or 4 years on my HTPC with locally stored content.  Unfortunately, our house got hit with a lightning strike, that caused about $20K worth of damage... including my HTPC.  Fortunately my content survived, but the motherboard, GPU and other hardware was fried.

When I rebuilt the computer, I went from a Nvidia 2080ti to an Nvidia 3080 graphics card, and therefore had to update the Nvidia Graphics Driver.  I'd previously been using Driver 430.39 with my 2080ti.  But now with the new graphics driver and the 3080, when I play 4K HDR files through Kodi DSPlayer, and then I stop the movie, when the computer returns to the Kodi interface HDR is still engaged and everything has a bright tint to it.  I previously had this same problem with my 2080ti, but when I switched to the 430.39 driver, it fixed the problem.  Does anyone know if there is a Nvidia driver that is compatible with a 3080 graphics card (12GB model) that properly switches back and forth between HDR and SDR?  If not, is there another solution that I can try?

Thanks for the help!

I have a 3070 in my HTPC and I use driver 516.59, with no problem switching back and forth from HDR.
