i want to "mix" dsplayer and kodis dvd player (for some types of media). kodis dvd player gives a better picture with "real fullscreen". at the moment this dont work for me (black screen with madvr). is there a way or settings to get madvr to work with real fullscreen in kodi settings?

I thought it was a madVR issue, but MPC-HC loads madVR just fine. The default player is DSPlayer.

you have to provide a full debug log, all instructions are at first page

i think that you are not using latest version of dsplayer because i introduced a warning message to ensure that kodi is in windowed mode

anyway madVR could not have any improvements in picture quality by selecting kodi real fullscreen, madVR has it's own fullscreen exclusive-mode

@for all

pls don't install madVR 0.89 because there are some crash that will be solved with the upcoming next release of madVR

New features for MediaPortal TV-Server and ArgusTV backends:
  • Live TV fast channel switching (don't stop timeshift)
Don't stop an existing timeshift session when switching to a new channel. This makes channel switching faster.
Regular channel switching will be used in cases of changing of stream url(SD<->HD channel switching or switching to channels with different audio/video streams)
  • Use UNC(=SMB) paths for Live TV
UNC is faster with channel switching and video seeking.

I'll repeat the post above: madVR 0.89 is causing crashes on various media players that will be fixed with the next release.
AW, thanks to all of u guys, aracnoz, roma, and warner
Will download it asap

ok i think that i already found a solution, will be included with the next release of dsplayer, anyway if not strictly required my advice it's always to use kodi in windowed mode because, there are more risks of crashes with all these changes in resolutions, devices etc etc, and also the time to playstart will be alot longer

edit:
here the patch Smile

I merged the latest change from *Roma* just after i had posted the new DSPlayer release, so he has posted a special test version with these new features included

I included in DSPlayer "TSReader Mediaportal File Reader", but not all these rules, i would to include these rules for the internal tsreader but only if they are not in conflict with some current rules

MediaPortal TsReader Filter for DSPlayer

Please post your feedbacks.

I can't understand what is going here. Which link is current? Do users still need to install TsReader Filter, or do they require a special version of DSPlayer?

Users that want to test new PVR features, have to install "Isengard DSPlayer 15.2 RC1 - 06 September 2015 (9c30400)" from aracnoz and replace kodi.exe with the one that i posted: "Isengard DSPlayer 15.2 RC1 EXE 06 September 2015 (PVR Test version)"

TsReader Filter have to be installed.

So the TsReader Filter is not pre-installed with DSPlayer? Does this mean the link on the first page with instructions still applies?
I noticed a few grammatical/language errors in the text descriptions:

Use as the default video player

DSPlayer it's set as the default player for all media. Unchecking this box, DSPlayer can be accessed from the Context Menu "C" Play Using -> DSPlayer.

Corrected version:

DSPlayer is set as the default player for all media. Unchecking this box, DSPlayer can be accessed from the Context Menu "C" Play Using -> DSPlayer.

DVDPlayer merits

This setting allows rules to be created governing what media should be played with DVDPlayer.

(This was my mistake.)

Corrected version:

This setting allows rules to be created governing what media should be played by DVDPlayer.

Extra external filter

Add an Extra external filter to the configuration, the Extra filter will be applied to the all played media.

Corrected version:

Add an Extra external filter to the configuration. The Extra filter will be applied to all played media.
Anyone successfully gotten 23.976Hz on Nvidia cards?

And also Is it better to use above or below 23.976 when it comes to custom resolutions? No matter what i do i can't get a perfect pixel clock that matches 23.976Hz.
I can't find if this subject has been discussed. Does anybody knows how to patch dsplayer so that it would use 4G of memory while running SVP player

Talk to huhn on Doom9. That guy knows everything and is experiencing the same problem. ReClock is the lazy way to fix this.

See his reported framerate with a GTX 960 here: http://abload.de/img/23pdx97qkb1.png. Who cares if he is a pedophile in his basement.

MediaPortal TsReader Filter for DSPlayer

Please post your feedbacks.
I think your method ConvertStreamURLToTimeShiftFilePath does return the wrong path. It does return the timeshift path of the server and not the unc path for the client.

My timeshift file is located on Z:\ on the server and this path will be returned to the client. But on the client there is no Z:\ drive of course. The method should return the unc path \\SERVER\Timeshift for example.

I fixed it by adding a net drive Z:\ that points to \\SERVER\Timeshift.

Can you have a look on it. Thanks in advanceSmile
