Kodi Community Forum

I'm new to the whole Kodi thing but as I understand it you can use Kodi to find tv shows and watch them. In the documentation I've read here I don't see instructions on how to do that.

I've seen others, my friends, start their Kodi, do a search for a show, and get a long list of options, they choose one and we can watch the current show, say one that aired a few days previous.

Do you need add ons? If so, which ones?

I need help.

Kodi is primarily about watching media you own, ripping your CDs DVDs and blurays. Also legal online sites like YouTube, Vevo etc.

Sounds like your friends have some of the piracy addons, which are possible, but not supported here. See also forum rules (wiki)
