Hi,

if this is an extremely stupid question, sorry in advance ;-)

I want to use KODI as a media player on my samsung smartphone. Instatllation and konfiguration worked all fine. I am using the reTouched Skin.

The only problem I see is, that music playback stops as soon I lock the screen of my device.

Even after unlocking I am not able to resume or even restart the music playback, without restarting KODI.

Any Ideas how to track this down ? Or is it expected an d wanted bahavior ?

The pause itself is intentional, and applies universally to both music and videos. I'm not sure if there is a way to resume the playback with Kodi in the background.

I might be wrong, but as of helix, only video should be paused, not music.

My main objective is to keep music playing even with the screen off. I'm able to do that in my iPad 2 but not in my Samsung cellphone.

In my case it does not only pause, the audio really breaks. Even restarting playback will not work. Only GUI sounds get played back.

After restarting KODI, Sound is back, untill I lock my screen.

Seems not to be a common usecase for KODI ...
