Hi

I am new to Linux following trying out Kodibuntu which I have now decided to use for my setup.
I have a harmony remote with a Lenovo ir receiver and this works fine on Windows with the remote emulating windows media keyboard,
I tried it on Kodibuntu with no effect
I tried lsusb and I can see it attached (Eg it disappears when I remove it)
I had a look on the internet and then tried sudo apt-get install lirc - but it appears installed already
So not sure where to go next and would be happy with some pointers if no detailed instruction and I can go look around

Sorted.
Needed to configure such that the usb ir receiver is recognized as an mce receiver.

There is a post flying around regarding this

Perhaps if you share the output of lsusb, someone may be able to help.
