In my m8s android box Kodi is releasing memory on startup, killing for example com.google.tv.discovery process, breaking connection with remote controller app on my phone.
How can I make Kodi not to do so? i have still 1GB free after android startup, so this 5MB shouldn't be relevant.

Kodi doesn't do anything of the sort.
