I have two PCs running Windows (7 and 8).
I am setting up Kodi on Android, but Kodi can only access via UPNP, can not find PCs via Windows SMB.

I want to access via SMB for the Kodi create the Movies library.

Already unlocked all access in Windows.
I have followed the SMB tutorial and yet Kodi does not show anything.

The Kodi can access the files via UPNP, but does not find via SMB servers.

Already tested with Windows in the Group and not joined.

Thanks a lot. Smile
Hi!

Problem Solved.

With Kodi 15.0 in Android, the problem is worst.

In 14.2 solved with this:

Thanks. Smile
I also had issues related to SMB, Windows, and Android (AFTV): http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=220225

I 'fixed' this by switching from SMB to NFS, and have been good ever since.

Thank you. I will search for NFS on Windows. Smile
I found leveraging "haneWIN NFS Server" did the trick for me...

But that's a very expensive "fix" in my opinion. I would prefer if Kodi used an updated Samba client instead of the really old one they currently use.
