So I just got my Forge TV a few days BACK and to my surprise when I went to the Google Play Market I saw that KODI is an APP that you need to PAY in order to have it installed.
Just wondering if that is OK with the community and the developers ?!?!
As soon as I get home I will do a print screen of the Google Play Market item.
What a blantant Rip off of the hard work of the Kodi community.
Completely violating the GPL license.
Yeap so what I see it's the BIG APP DEVELOPER - that published the paid version of KODI.
This should be illegal.
Where could we the users make a complain with a confirmation from KODI Team that it's not what they added to the google market? (in order to show our support for you guys

It's open-source, guys. As he rebranded and even publish sources, IIRC, it's perfectly legal for him to sell his version.
As for people buying it, well, Darwin...
Well, they're the ones that originally tried to call it XBMC, but then we had to threaten them with Google Play removal. Twice, I think ;)
He still puts xbmc/Kodi in his title, though, which makes it pop-up in the search results.
Don't know if we can hassle him for that...
