Hi all,

I've just installed kodi, and I'm trying to get the web interface working (so I can get the remote working). I've enabled 'allow control of Kodi via HTTP', and enabled the two options under remote control.

When I try to browse to http://192.168.1.2:80 (also tried 8080), I get 'This web page is not available' in chrome. I've tried the same thing from my phone. I turned off windows firewall, and my router firewall. No change. Any advise?
hm... strange. the settings are ok.

what happens if you try to estabilish a telnet connection on the ip and port?

what happens if you try http://localhost:<port> on the machine you installed kodi?

could there be any other software interfere, like an anti virus or another server?

do the kodi log's say something which could help?

Telnet to port 80 fails.

I can't access the web interface on the machine I installed kodi on either.

I tried disabling microsoft security essentials, no luck. That's the only anti-virus I'm running.

Here's my log, I don't see a red flag, but I don't know what I'm looking for.

Not sure which remote you're using, but go to port forwarding on your router. Use the port that you have Kodi set to (default is 80, i have mine on 97) and put that as the port to forward (i have mine set to 'BOTH' UDP and TCP...works for me). Then the IP address of the Kodi machine. You can find that in Kodi settings. Save changes.

Hmmm, I tried that but I'm getting the same result.
