I've been running Kodi (v15) for a while and used to be able to download content back in the days of XBMC via the CineXplayer app on iOS.

This stopped working some time ago, around the time I upgraded to iOS v8, and CineXplayer upgraded too.

So is there an easy way to tag and download some Kodi content onto my iPad for viewing off line via uPNP?

On Kodi directly, not that I know of. However, I just tested it now using nPlayer on iOS, and I was able to locally download a file to my iPhone from my Kodi UPnP video library.

Thanks for that - I must have Kodi setup differently/incorrectly as the iOS app (CineXplayer) works pulling (the same) data from a Plex server.

I've tried a fresh Kodi install on another PC, but have the same symptoms.
