I've noticed that my older BluRays that are based on AVC1 encoding all judder when watched via Kodi on my Fire TV. Is this simply because the Fire TV does not use hardware acceleration for this codec or is it a Kodi setting causing the issue?
My movie rips are stored on WD MyCloud NAS units and streamed over wired gigabit network via Samba shares. The same movies okay fine when streamed via DLNA using the media players in my Smart TVs.
Examples of movies with this issue are Monty Python Meaning of Life and Ocean's 11.
