Hey,

I have recently bought a HP ProLiant Microserver Gen8 to use as a NAS currently its just running windows 7 my drive plugged in and is sharing the drive Kodi picks up the share just fine but I keep coming across the problem of the share suddenly not working yet my windows 7 PC is still able to access the network drive, and I have to restart the server to be able to access my files on kodi again?

Really hope someone can help me.

Windows 7 just seems flaky as a server. Try Ubuntu server.

Thing is until I bought this NAS/Server I was running the drive in my normal day to day pc and I had never had this problem.

I believe there is a setting somewhere in kodi to send a network wakeup packet. Perhaps the hp is shutting down the network while waiting for activity and its not getting a wake up signal sent?

Is it going into sleep mode when it is sitting.

You may need to look around in the settings for kodi. I've seen something about it in the settings.
