so, where do i start ..

my setup:
- minix android box with 4.4.2 api level 19 (kernel linux 3.10.33)
- kodi 14.2 git 2015-03-26-7cc53a9-dirty
- dvblink pvr client 1.2.12
- pvr backend: dvblink server 5.x

what does not work
1) switching while streaming one channel straight to another channel it freezes..after a while it becomes black
- e.g. any channel to any channel
-> probably other formats between the channels
-> solution is to restart kodi completely

2) sometimes watching the same channel and the program changes it freezes
- e.g. german animal planet hd
- when a episode of mountain monster finishes and they go to commercials/previews
-> probably the show is one format of video (american standard) and the previews are another format (european standard)
-> solution is to stop and restart the stream

how i manage it so far:
- i stop always the live stream
- navigate to the next channel i want to watch
- start the stream
--> stopping first is sooo annoying!

so, where is the problem? is it kodi or is it me?
i would really appreciate to be able to 1) switch between channels withouth freezing and 2) keep the stream running while i am watching tv

cheers

Hi.

I'm also from Germany and do not have such problems within KODI.
Maybe it is an issue with the parental checking? Have you disabled the parental access in your CAM settings?
i am not from germany .. but i have german channels
however .. should not be any parental restriction, cause i have nothing on
or what exactly should i check?

Have you tried Kodi 15? Kodi 14 did have lots of problems with live TV.
still 14

do you think it would be worth?

you know, don't touch a running system .. even it's not really running Wink

What do you have to lose?
well.. maybe i wait to 15.2 because new versions are always a bit shaky ..
