Kodi Community Forum

Hi,

I have been using Kodi with DVB Viewer via the Recording Service. Everything has been configured appropriately and it works nicely. Now today I tried to install Kodi on my Andoid Tablet and though I'm pretty sure I did all the right settings, I still can't connect to the Recording Service.

Port no is 8089 - I found out that when I try to access "localhost:8089" through my tablet browser I cannot get a connection either.

Any tipps or tricks ?

localhost is an alias for the local address of your device. see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Localhost

Replace localhost with the ip address (or dns name) of the computer running recording service. And make sure the firewall isn't blocking access to the recording service.
