hi guys and girls . ive got my rpi2 setup just how i want it except for live tv . im using a avermedia avertv usb stick which worked fine on my pc using the wmc plugin but i havent got a clue how to set this up on my rpi2 . are there any guides out there that can help me out ? im using kodi 14.2 and openelec . this is the card im using http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/revi...kit-review#
If you don't want to keep your existing WMC pc set-up and connect to it using the WMC pvr addon http://kodi.wiki/view/ServerWMC , you could try tvheadend on the RPi2 (See http://kodi.wiki/view/Tvheadend for instructions using a slightly older version of tvheadend server)

I had this working on OE 5.95.2 briefly earlier this weekend on an RPi2 and my August DVB-210T USB tuner.

This pre-supposes your USB stick works under linux of course.... Probably it will though.

Look for the tvheadend server here:
  1. Addons/Get Add-ons/All Add-ons/Add-on repository/Unofficial OpenELEC (RPi/arm) Add-ons
  2. press your 'information' key (i on a keyboard) NB: select/enter doesn't work, then select 'install'
  3. Addons/Get Add-ons/Unofficial OpenELEC (RPi/arm) Add-ons/Services/tvheadend server

I don't know if this will work for you with OE5.0.8 / 14.2 as it isn't clear to me if you will actually find a tvheadend server here for RPi2.
This is where I was expecting to find it on my RPi just now, but it didn't appear.

It definitely worked with the 5.95.2 isengard beta, but the addon is at a slightly different location - I'm sure you'll find it.
Kodi's interface also seemed marginally smoother on RPi2 with that build than OE5.0.8, so it's probably worth trying anyhow.

NB: You'll need a 'propper' power supply for the RPi2, or there won't be enough juice to run your USB stick and the little coloured square will appear in the top right of the screen to remind you!
I am not sure if this is the proper place to ask this question. I have just installed Kodi 14.4 Helix so I can use my TV tuner when Windows Media Center is de-supported in upcoming versions. When I started Kodi, I did not see any options to set up the tuner like there is in Media Center. Do I need something else to be able to set it up. I can's seem to find any instructions on how to do this. Any help will be appreciated.
I was looking the web for hours now how to install TVHEADEND on an OpenElec 15.1 on a RasPi. I always found descriptins like your

So how should I proceed?
Click "Install from a repository". You first need to install the unofficial addon repository, after that you'll find tvheadend under "Service addons".
That´s the problem: where do I find the unofficial repository? All I found via google resulted in hints to http://unofficial.addon.pro/ or similar. But the description there does not meet what I can find in Openelec 15.1. There is no "Get Add-ons/All Add-ons/Add-on repository/Unofficial OpenELEC (RPi/arm) Add-ons" on my freshly installed OpenElec.
So how can I find the unofficial addon repository for OpenElec? All the hints via apt-get I found in google also don´t work for OpenElec.
Try to refresh the repository, it should definitely be there.
