also found a really cheap one

Those look potentially less useful in very small devices as the SATA connector is not parallel to the card but at 90 degrees to it - so the volume of the adaptor + SATA cable is much higher?

Agreed Smile. I did have the HP 260 G1 in thought when searching, but realised that these might be useful for other hardware, so thought why not put them up.

Is there a way to connect to usb inside the case? I read up on it, but there isn't any headers inisde the HP260
what do you think of this adaptors potential noggin? two sata connections

Not sure I see the point. I don't think there is space for a second SATA device internally, so why not use a USB3 to SATA converter externally instead, or just install a bigger M2 SSD?
I might be wrong but I believe the M.2 sata connection uses full SATA speeds, infact I think its faster!
http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id...sata3.html

though no hardrives can max SATA 3 speeds. I looked at prices for M.2 Sata and they are higher, I just liked to think you can add two full sata connections (at 6Gb/s). the USB way won't give you those.

also I was thinking since you would get a full SATA connection you can add other pripherals like blue ray player? and use the conventional sata for storage. agreed that its really just hypothetical and no one would be interested, buts its good to know its there I guess
I guess you could connect a second external SATA SSD via that route - but I'm not sure I see the point. As for Blu-ray drives, USB 3 delivers more than enough bandwidth for a Blu-ray drive doesn't it?
You can never have enough adapters :D
