Been looking at building my first box and trying to decide on what to use for hardware. In my searches I can across linksprite and there pcduino8 stb http://www.linksprite.com/?page_id=1376

I've been trying to find some reviews or something for this but looks pretty impressive for the price. They are selling it for around $50 with remote and enclosure. Any thoughts? Looking to build something for kodi streaming and I have to keep the price low.

Allwinner. Avoid. Lousy Open Source support, particularly for hardware video acceleration.

Seconded. No point in going for anything else. (The ODroid C1 promises quite a lot - but never seems to quite deliver)

Thanks for the replies. Guess I'll keep looking. Trying to get an rpi2 kit here is gonna cost about $80 plus shipping and that's without any way to control it.
